Kyoto University of Foreign Studies: An Educational Foundation

Established in Kyoto in 1947, the Kyoto Gaidai Educational Foundation incorporates an integrated education system constituted by the University, Junior College, High School and the Career College. Based on our School Motto “PAX MUNDI PER LINGUAS (World Peace through Languages)” we are educating individuals the importance of lifelong learning, the courage to spread their wings and the determination to fulfill their dreams.

Kyoto University of Foreign Studies was founded in 1959. With " PAX MUNDI PER LINGUAS" as a motto and mindset, the university puts great effort into educational research, not only in linguistics, but also in a broad range of background issues such as culture and customs. KUFS also implements many international exchange programs and continues to raise levels of erudition in an effort to become a bridge across the global seas.
